ЛІСТ З ЗАХАДУ

“Падтрымайце ўкраінцаў і яны дапамогуць нам пабудаваць больш адкрытую Эўропу”

3 студзеня ангельская газэта “Guardian” апублікавала зварот інтэлектуалаў Эўропы і Амэрыкі да ўрадаў дэмакратычных краін пад гэтым назовам. Вось тэкст гэтага зварота:

У гэтыя дні сьвет уважліва ўглядаецца ва Ўкраіну. Некаторыя з апошніх падзей, перш за ўсё нядаўнія спробы ўраду выкарыстаць гвалт супраць мірных дэманстрантаў, выклікаюць сур'ёзную заклапочанасьць. Мы, прадстаўнікі міжнароднай акадэмічнай грамадзкасьці, асабліва заклапочаны тым фактам, што гвалт і перасьлед даволі часта накіраваныя на моладзь, вельмі часта на журналістаў, студэнтаў унівэрсітэтаў і маладых навучэнцаў.

Такія паводзіны ўкраінскага ўраду зьяўляюцца дэструктыўнымі, як для самога ўраду, так і для будучыні краіны, якую ён прадстаўляе.

У адрозьненьні ад ураду, украінскае грамадзтва прадэманстравала выдатную грамадзкую сьпеласьць. Яго рашучасьць весьці пратэст у полі законнасьці і яго нязломнае непрыняцьце гвалту ёсьць узорам абароны грамадзянскіх правоў. Сёньня ўкраінскі Майдан прадстаўляе самае лепшае, што ёсьць у Эўропе — тое, што многія мысьляры мінулага і цяпершчыны адносілі да фундамэнтальных эўрапейскіх каштоўнасьцяў.

Мы зьвяртаемся да нашых урадаў і міжнародных арганізацый з заклікам падтрымаць украінцаў у іхных намаганьнях пакласьці канец скарумпаванаму і жорсткаму рэжыму і геапалітычнай уразьлівасьці іхнай краіны. Україна мае патрэбу ў Эўрапейскім плане тыпу плана Маршала, які б забясьпечыў яе пераўтварэньне ў поўную дэмакратыю і грамадзтва з гарантаванымі грамадзянскімі правамі. У працэсе распрацоўкі новай палітыкі ў адносінах да Ўкраіны мы прапануем вызначыць розьніцу паміж украінскім урадам і ўкраінскім грамадзтвам. Калі першага трэба трактаваць з максімальнай строгасьцю, то другое заслужвае максімальнай падтрымкі.

Давайце дапаможам украінцам пабудаваць новую Ўкраіну — і яны абавязкава дапамогуць нам пабудаваць новую Эўропу і больш адкрыты сьвет.
